This is the NFPA 70E-2024 arc-flash PPE category (table) method, an awareness aid ONLY. NFPA 70E 130.5 requires a documented arc-flash risk assessment by a qualified person, and the table may be used only within its exact parameter limits, never as a substitute for the equipment's own arc-flash label. Where the parameters are exceeded, an incident-energy analysis is required. Do not work energized without a proper assessment.
